CARSTAR R&M Towing and Hauling is the towing and transport side of the CARSTAR R&M operation in Hagerstown, working from the same location on Commonwealth Avenue.
Who we are
Local work, done the way we would want ours done.
Most people call a tow truck on the worst part of their day. A car that will not start in a work parking lot, a flat on the shoulder of the Dual Highway, a machine that has to be on a jobsite before the crew arrives. Our job is to take that problem off your plate without adding a new one.
We serve individual drivers and business customers across Hagerstown and the surrounding Washington County communities. That means the same truck might move a family sedan to a shop in the morning and relocate a work van for a contractor in the afternoon.
Availability changes day to day. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and service outside those hours depends on dispatch. Call and we will tell you what is actually possible rather than what sounds good.

Loading is the part where damage happens. Correct tie down points, chocks and soft straps for bikes, and a flatbed when a vehicle should not be dragged.

We know which downtown alleys a truck cannot turn in, where the I-81 shoulders are unsafe to work on, and how South Mountain behaves in winter.

One point of contact from the call to the drop off, and a clear handoff to whoever is receiving the vehicle at the other end.
