Accident Recovery

Accident Recovery and Vehicle Removal

Careful removal and transport after a collision, including vehicles that no longer roll or steer, with you deciding where the vehicle goes next.

Careful removal after a collision

After a crash, the vehicle usually will not drive the way it did an hour before. Wheels can be knocked out of alignment, a bumper can be dragging, or the vehicle may not roll or steer at all. Our job at that point is to get it off the roadway and to wherever you need it, without adding more stress to an already difficult moment.

We work at the direction of law enforcement or a scene coordinator when they are present, and we stay out of the way of anything that is not our responsibility. Our focus is the vehicle, getting it loaded safely and moved on.

Vehicles that no longer roll or steer

A bent wheel, a locked axle, or frame damage can mean the vehicle cannot be pulled the normal way. In those cases we winch it onto a flatbed rather than forcing it to roll, which protects what is left of the suspension and avoids further damage during the move.

If a wheel is missing or the vehicle is resting at an angle, tell us that when you call so the right equipment is on the truck before it arrives.

Deciding where the vehicle goes

Once the vehicle is loaded, you decide the destination. That might be a repair shop, your home, a storage lot, or an insurance drop point they have specified. We are not part of any repair or claims process. Our role stops at moving the vehicle to the address you give us.

If you have not decided yet, it is fine to say so. We can hold the vehicle briefly while you sort out next steps, or take it to a secure location until you have an answer.

Common situations

When people call us for this

Vehicle will not roll after impact

Frame or suspension damage means the wheels are not turning freely, so it needs to be winched rather than towed normally.

Vehicle is undrivable but not badly damaged

Sometimes a car is safe enough to sit but not safe enough to drive, and it just needs to move off the road and to a shop.

Removal from a coned off scene

Working around the perimeter that police or fire have set up, loading the vehicle once we are cleared to proceed.

Move to a storage or holding lot

When the owner has not decided on a shop yet, the vehicle can go to a secure lot until a decision is made.

Transport to a specific repair shop

You choose the shop, and we deliver the vehicle there directly instead of it sitting at the scene.

Multi vehicle incidents

When more than one vehicle needs to be moved from the same location, we coordinate the order and destinations with whoever is on scene.

How it works

From your call to the drop off

01

Call with the scene details

Location, condition of the vehicle, and whether anyone official is already on scene managing traffic.

02

Assessment and loading

On arrival we check how the vehicle sits and moves before deciding between a wheel lift and a winch onto a flatbed.

03

Delivery to your chosen destination

Shop, home, or storage lot, the vehicle is delivered to the address you provide and the handoff is confirmed.

We respond to collision scenes across Hagerstown and Washington County, including the interchanges on I-81 and I-70, the Dual Highway, and the curves on Alt US 40 over South Mountain where visibility and grade both play a role in how a crash happens.

We do not promise a specific emergency response time or guaranteed 24/7 dispatch. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and availability outside that window depends on who is on call, so please contact local emergency services first if anyone is injured, then call us to arrange vehicle removal.
